Tony Jaa's Tom-Yum-Goong: The Game - is a third-person action adventure, made in three-dimensional graphics. The player will take on the role of a young guy named Ham, whose life has changed drastically at one point and now he has to go on dangerous adventures. Game mechanics emphasize shooter components, with elements of fighting and movement through the world. Exploring locations, the gamer is immersed in a dynamic adventure in an East Asian setting.

The plot of Tony Jaa's Tom-Yum-Goong: The Game tells the story of the events taking place on the territory of Thailand. The protagonist observed a peaceful and quiet life, doing a measured amount of honest work. But one day he gets into trouble when his beloved elephants are kidnapped by a criminal organization from Australia. These animals meant much more to Ham's family, as they were a gift to the king of the country. Braving the odds, the protagonist sets out to save the elephants and begins the great journey.

The gameplay is in the form of corridor locations to be visited as the story progresses. A variety of melee attacks and techniques are available to the player, which will defeat many adversaries. Exploring the terrain and items in the environment is required to solve tasks and quests that are prominent in the level and help in the performance of clearing the map of enemy fighters.
