Summer Soon is a third-person indie action game. Developed by Tale of Tales, a studio known for art-house games like The Path or The Graveyard.

Gameplay is minimal. The project has earned the mock nickname "walking simulator. But this does not make the game any less exciting. The gamer will be offered a meditative romantic journey along the seashore.

You will be able to choose your gender after the start of the game but this will not affect the storyline. Events unfold in the distant future on a space station. In order not to miss the values of his home planet in space, the protagonist uses a special simulator. With his help, he gets to the seafront with snow-white sand. The character walks along the water's edge, listening to the cries of seagulls and immersing himself in his own thoughts.

Waves deliver emotional ambiguous phrases borrowed from the novel "Moderato cantabile" by the French writer Marguerite Duras. Earthly objects also appear on the path: a TV, a magnolia, or a dead bird. Such visions must be imprinted in his memory, after which they will turn into chess pieces. All this is necessary in order to play a game of chess. The table is designed for this purpose. In online mode, the player can connect to a real partner who has chosen the opposite sex of the character. If you can not do it - bot will keep you company.

Each chess cell contains a phrase that was previously brought in waves. By rearranging the pieces, the players thus have a romantic dialogue with each other. Party moves can be skipped, giving your partner a chance to speak up. The whole game is symbolism and relaxation. The project tries to touch the finest strings of the soul and does it all with beautiful music, which you can switch yourself.
