Download Salammbo: Battle for carthage

Salammbo: Battle for carthage is a dystopian quest-adventure game, made in three-dimensional graphics and featuring first-person controls. The protagonist is a man living in the third century B.c., during the decline of carthage, which surrendered after a grueling Roman siege during the Punic War. The game is inspired by and based on the novel by Philippe Druye, which affects the atmosphere of everything that happens and refers to ancient periods of human history.

The plot of Salammbo: Battle for carthage begins in the midst of war, after the brutal murder of Salammbo. The daughter of the commander of the carthaginian troops is in love with Mato, a mercenary and her father's main enemy, who has taken the city under siege and is keeping the civilians in torment. The main character finds himself in difficult conditions, where he has to survive and save himself, relying only on his skills and abilities. The gloominess for the picture is brought by the design of the environment, immersing in a difficult historical period for the common inhabitants.

The gameplay is old-school, where you have to navigate through space and look for ways to get out of closed rooms or rooms by interacting with elements of the environment or finding secret loopholes. The hero is able to pick up and combine items and scattered interior elements, allowing you to create the necessary items to further the plot, completing tasks that can be tracked in a personal diary.
