Outer Wilds is a first-person action-adventure based on the popular Groundhog Day theme. Set on the fictional planet of Kamelok, which is destroyed in a star explosion 22 minutes after the game begins. But the story only begins there. The user enters a "time loop" which allows you to gradually develop the story, travel around the system of planets and meet new characters. After you have "reloaded" your life all the accumulated information will remain available.

The protagonist of the adventure is an explorer belonging to a local humanoid alien race. After the aforementioned events, he decides to solve the mystery of the star's destruction and the cause of the extinction of the mysterious Nomai race. Outer Wilds forces the gamer to choose his own path, explore locations, and make tough decisions. In the process of passing the character can move, interact with objects and other aliens. Some areas of the location become available only after solving puzzles, finding codes or collecting the necessary items. It is very important to keep an eye on your hero's vitals, as he may die before the "restart" from lack of air or injury. Gamer's journey is accompanied by a unique soundtrack for each location and addictive mysterious atmosphere.
