Faerie Afterlight - action-adventure indie with a side-facing camera. The backdrops used in the locations are drawn in lighter tones than the objects in the foreground, this decision helps separate the things you need from the usual scenery. The developers of this project used platformer and metroidvania mechanics to create an engaging gameplay experience with a huge number of enemy monsters of varying degrees of danger to the player and soothing musical accompaniment. Native support for gamepads from all kinds of computer accessory manufacturers is present.

The main characters in the story are two characters - Seeker of Light Kimo and his buddy named Wispy. The two are bound together by a common destiny in this world, which brings them closer together and they become best friends, always supporting each other. Their goal in the single-player story campaign is to find a shattered shard of light called Lucentia. They do it in the fictional territory of Lumina. As you move through the locations presented in the game, protagonists improve their abilities and acquire new ones by killing bosses and getting their items.

The main mechanics used to advance through the terrain are Kimo's skills at enchanting enemies to create his own allies, and, Wispy's ability to move objects around the characters in order to find passage further into the location. Using these features at the right intervals will lead the player to successfully solve the puzzle at hand.
