Don't Be Afraid is a first-person adventure horror game in which the player takes control of an 11-year-old boy named David. The protagonist will have to solve many puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty, located in a huge dark mansion. This building belongs to a horrible maniac who kidnaps children for further torture and murder. The protagonist must realize the danger as quickly as possible and act as a real adult in a difficult situation - responsibly and in cold blood, without succumbing to fear. This is a difficult task for the boy, but his survival depends on it. The situation is worsened by the fact that the hero is constantly being watched, it is very frightening and creates a suspense.

Single-player story campaign, written and programmed by a small indie studio, has a non-linear progression, resulting in three different denouements and endings to the story being implemented. The locations that David navigates and tries to avoid the psychopath's traps contain notes, strange writings on the walls, and clippings from documents that shed light on the mansion's past. In addition to logical tasks, there are enemies in the building, from which the gamer has to run away and hide, because the little boy is not able to stand up to huge monsters.
