ASTRAL is a 2D side-scrolling horror game. Set in the not too distant future. In the year 2022, much of humanity has been turned into bloodthirsty mutants due to a worldwide epidemic. Remnants of survivors hide in bunkers.

In ASTRAL, we play as a little boy. He's been experimented on by the military. A child who has survived the experiments and become immune to the virus that destroyed the planet. The main character embarks on a journey to the refuge of the survivors to share his immunity with them. The action takes place somewhere in Russia. Short indie game has a post-Soviet apocalyptic atmosphere.

The character is defenseless against monsters. He can run, jump, climb ladders and interact with objects (move crates, press buttons and stuff like that). From monsters it is necessary to hide or run away, otherwise they will kill the young savior. In the course of the passage of the protagonist acquires a device that allows you to control opponents. This item gives us the ability to switch to the creatures and fully control them. After finding this gadget the gameplay changes slightly.
